Hello Fellow Gardeners!

It's getting to be that time of year again... Almost time to start some of your seeds indoors.

We will be accepting new applications beginning April 1, 2015.  The application is on the "How to Get Started" section of this blog.

We are starting something new this year... a Mentor Program, please let us know if you're interested in participating in this new program.

We are also in need of board members.  If you're interested please let me know.

Last year, our 3rd year, we were able to donate about 54lbs of vegetables to the Douglas/Elbert Task force!!

Stay tuned for our Work and Meeting days for 2015.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hello Gardeners!

Welcome to a new growing season! If you haven't started your seeds yet now is a good time to start planning what you'd like to plant this year and get them going. If you'd like a natural and inexpensive way to start seeds you can save your egg shells and use them for little starter pods. When you're ready to plant in the ground you can put the eggshell right in the ground and it will provide calcium for your plants. Here are some instructions if you are interested: http://www.instructables.com/id/Eggshell-Seed-Starters/

The contract for plots this year has been updated. You can find it under the 'How to Get Started' tab.

Our first garden workday is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th! We'll have some initial garden cleanup to get everything ready and looking great. More details to follow. Mark your calendars!

Enjoy our fast approaching spring weather and keep an eye on our blog. We'll be adding updates as we get closer!

Workday - April 13

Our First Workday is tomorrow, April 13, from 9:00am-1:00pm.
Bring hats, gloves, water, shovels, etc.  We will be preparing the plots for
planting and cleaning up the park.

We want to give a HUGE shout out to Dutch Heritage Gardens for supplying us with a pallet of MoJo Grow soil amendment and some pretty little Pansy's.

Dutch Heritage Gardens sells to wholesalers only, BUT, they have a public sale on Memorial Day Weekend.  All are welcome and they have a TON of wonderful plants.  Flowers and Veggies.  They also sell to King Soopers and Home Depot, so if you're buying flowers there, know that you're helping them grow.  THANK YOU, Dutch Heritage Gardens!!

Another thank you to Doug Smith, Sales Manager @ Haulaway.  He will take our trash after our workday.

It's people like this that makes our community special!
